It's not a scam, its just a different business model. From a consumer stand point, paying 1 time and getting free updates is always better, but from the creators POV it may not be viable for them if this project isnt just a hobby or passion project.

A wildly successful game that follows this same business model is "Pure Onyx" if you need some encouragement to keep pushing on. Look at how they do releases and content, might help reassure you.
Edit: Other games like "Future Fragments" and "Crisis Point Extinction" are two other WILDLY successful games that have also followed this business model.
It clearly says that buying the game now, doesnt give you access to the future versions until the 0.9 update. If you didnt want to do that, thats on you for spending your money without realizing. But this is an insane game for an indie studio to make. They need funding if you wanna see it finished

there is a lot of things need to do like optimazation
-add more voices or improve them with the actions
-add smothness to the animations
-unlimited inventury(if it exist im sry didn't see it)
-add everything to the cheat mode and when i say every thing its every thing even a an empty box 😁
-improves shadows bc its buggy sometimes
-its sooooooo freaking hard to follow the story so help us pls bc the first time i played it it took abouv 2 hours to find the clothes (first mission)
-add more sex scenes and the incest as fast as u can
-the fps inside the house is dead somehow but outside is good???
-the parents need to move (they are just doing the same thing all the day?)
-the homeless one(the one u buy somestuff from him) its buggy sometimes i can't buy and sometimes he is just standing there
-improve the menu settings (change it to something else maybe good or bad or let us chose inside the game maybe)
-add something so i can know that im hungry /tired/need a shower/u know bc sometimes i don't even loke at those things bc i don't know them
-add other characters (idk just try)
-the washing machine (the missiong when they tell u to wash the clothes*i wen't to the machine and i did try to wash them 10 times and it didn't workkkkkkkkkkk and i tried every thing
-improve the night (damn i can't see anything at night )
-improve the quest menu or add a new good one(i can't find the important story or the less intersting ones i need to know the diff bettwin them and what happen if i complete them (the end of the day or get some reward ))

it used to have 3 days on it when i bought the game back a year ago
yea they scammed us all
same problem, got no solution for now
1) do not interact with the box before 16:00

With the default keys (WASD), the game is unplayable for me.
In case they don't, I recommend using keytweak, or some other program to transfer keys
